Connecting Buildings - What to expect when you work with us.

Every project we work on is unique but our approach is always the same. Why? Because it works. We’ve got processes in place to make sure you get exactly the results you need. No hold-ups, no nasty surprises: just an effective approach to your digital design future.

What makes us Smart?

Today's Building Owners, Facilities Operators and Business Occupants demand connected systems, workplaces and users via digital technology and data to enable collaborative, healthy and comfortable working experiences.

At Connecting, we have a wealth of knowledge in the Design, Management and Deployment of Smart Buildings on behalf of their clients.

We are in the business of Connecting Building Systems & Services, with Facilities Management and Smart Workspaces using our end-to-end platform solutions.

Our ultimate goal, of course, is to not only bring delivery efficiencies, operational savings but to also reduce our clients operating costs by being smart with their assets and connecting with our smart “End to End” technologies whilst providing enhanced user working experiences!

Our Approach

Our overall consulting approach has been refined over a number of years so we can invest time into understanding the purpose of your project and ultimately define the outcomes required.

Our Approach works around four key stages to deliver a project but to keep the process focused we initially focus on two; Discover and Define...

We start with a project kick-off meeting or PKOM. During this meeting, roles and responsibilities of the team are defined outlining expectations, agreeing on deliverables, scheduled events and milestones.

We shall undertake a Requirements Gathering exercise, which will take place as interviews/meetings with key stakeholders

These will take place over an elapsed period of 2-4 weeks, depending on the availability of the stakeholders & agreed upon during the PKOM. This process will enable the CB team to then review options available in the marketplace that meets your requirements and defines the strategy, business case and budget for approval.

This phase covers the creation of Tender document development. Following the outline of your requirements the CB team will carry out three defining tasks:

  • Coordinate and define the overall procurement strategy for the tendering of vendors.
  • Create a Vendor Analysis Report, providing relevant information on shortlisted vendors along with a scoring matrix for vendor submissions.
  • Undertake the Technical Specification Design document for the preferred solution for inclusion with your Tender documentation.

Our Ecosystem of Partners supports Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) and Life Cycle Management of Smart Buildings, leveraging Cloud Services through Digital Twin

Utilising Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Commission to Operate (C2O) Design & Delivery Workflow processes, we connect buildings and their systems to deliver efficiencies during construction and allowing your building environments to be continually commissioned throughout their life cycle.

It's not only about delivery efficiencies during construction, operational cost must also be part of the Smart Building with their assets connecting using “End to End” technologies.

Our technology can be leveraged to reduce operating costs through predictive maintenance, real-time energy monitoring & management, automation & robotics and more.

We recognise that the built environment is there to support its occupants, Smart Buildings is about more than the physical space, it is how we can optimise the environment for the occupiers. Prior to the pandemic, a business focus was about Productivity & Efficiencies, now it is more about the Health & well-being of the occupants & Optimising the performance of the environment.
